It failed

*pokes blog with a stick*

Yeah, it's dead.

I want one person to tell me that I should try again.

Just one...

Cause For Celebration

On Febuary 23, 2007, at 11:22PM, I became a father that the state of Texas couldn't argue with. Colleen gave birth to a healthy baby boy, and we named him Arthur Jack Touchstone, III.

Two children has occupied all our time for the past week. There's no lie that raising two young ones isn't easy. Colleen and I are at the end of our patience. But it's worth it.

Please be sure to check my photo album for pictures of the new one. And, please do NOT call him "Trey"!

Hopefully I will be able to begin regular writing again soon.

I have much to write, but it's too late.

Maybe tomorrow. :(

My keyboard has a drainage system!

I'm watching my son take his bath right now. He's splashing water all over the room, including my Dell laptop. He isn't really getting it very wet, just a little drop of water here and there. If it was more, I would be concerned, but it's currently at harmless levels. I once saw a review of a heavy-duty grade laptop that was completely waterproof and drop-resistant. The drop-resistant part didn't stand up too well (the LCD screen shattered and the hard disk drive was clicking on the 8th drop) but as for the water test, they built a drainage system into the system chassis. All liquid spilled on it came out a little hole in the bottom. I was impressed!

I do not believe my precious Dell has such a system, but I know it can withstand a certain amount of elements. So here I sit writing and watching my son. Quite a lot has happened since the last time I posted, but I really cannot remember most of it. I've been shopping very much for Colleen's parents' "Family Day" (not related to FOX's "Family Guy", unfortunately) so I've visited a few malls, Wal-Mart's, Best Buy's, bookstores, dollar stores, and much more. The only place I haven't been recently is the grocery store and I think that trip is coming up soon.

Thus ends another stress-filled weekend. One thing I did do that was very awesome was see Ghost Rider opening night. Seriously awesome movie. You should definitely see it. And Sour Skittles FTW!!

One last thought. Why do children love water so much?

Perks are good

I get to go into work at 8:30A today, rather than 8A sharp. I sit here thinking about how that would be different than getting to work at 8:30A anyway after being late from traffic. Anyway, I have a meeting at the half-hour mark, and it serves no purpose to be there a half-hour early. Woot!

So what do I do with this extra time? Mostly nothing, of course; except to add to my wonderful weblog. Although there has been some exciting news on my mind: yesterday I passed the computer certification "Network+". And I just barely passed it too. That was a big relief off my shoulders. Now I have just a little bit less stress to deal with.

Seriously though, TGIF! What a week! I hope this upcoming weekend proves to be a little bit of a breather. If not, then what can I do. I seriously hope that Colleen has this baby soon enough. It's really weighing down on her.

I can't forget to go to Wal-Mart too.

The day before Valentine's Day

I meant to make an entry here yesterday but it just wasn't happening... I had to come home from work a couple of hours early to help Colleen with Ian. She had gotten practically no sleep the day before and was having a really hard time. I wish this baby would just pop out already. So I finished my daily workload from home when I could.

The days pass by slowly for me. Things will go faster once the baby is born, but until then all we can do is wait. I need to buy Colleen something for V-day today, seeing as how the big day is tomorrow. I noticed that Blizzard has decorated all of the massive World of Warcraft with holiday things. Then they add many little presents to give you extra abilities for short periods of time. The purpose, of course, is to bring you the Valentine's day spirit. What it really does is make you play more during the holiday's to increase your level even more rapidly. Then on Valentine's day evening, "Sorry honey, I can't go out to dinner with you, my warrior is almost to level 46!"

But life goes on. Colleen actually didn't want to go out this year to save money and effort. I have to agree with her; it would save a lot of stress. So she bought a nice Italian-style ready-to-make dinner for us late tomorrow night. I am trying to make it special.

I have things to do now; until next time, ciao!
